Technical Help
This section will be expanded on a regular basis to help you maximise the download experience from the Music TV Station website.
Making a purchase on Music TV Station could not be easier. Just browse our store, and add any items that you wish to buy into the shopping cart.
After you have finished your selection, click on 'Checkout' and you will be asked for a few details that we need to be able to complete the order.
We accept credit card payment via Barclays Merchant services.
If you are shopping from North America or anywhere else, place your order and your credit card company will convert the transaction to US Dollars or your own currency.
Once payment has been received your digital products will be available to download via a "download link".
This link will allow you to download items directly onto your computer.
All downloads are encoded to a very high video quality in major video formats (see below) that is very watchable on everything from on TV, Computers to iPods and other high quality media players.
Please note the video files from Music TV Station do not have DRM (Digital Rights Management) and are open files with no limits or copy protection.
From that point on, you will be able to save, back-up, move or even convert them (if required) into DVD files and many other formats, codec's large and small to enable you to watch them on whatever media player you so require you can even convert the downloads to PAL or NTSC (for viewing on a TV).
You, as the end user are entirely responsible for these conversions (if so required) which can be performed on one of the many specific video encoding and authoring software packages available over the internet.
The speed and length it takes to download will depend on the size of the file, how many files you are downloading and the speed of your broadband connection.
Each product download "link" will have an individual set time window to allow you to download the link before this closes or alternatively the link might be set to allow only one download per account.
There are various programmes that can be download for free that will allow you to manage one or more downloads at any one time, also if a link or connection gets broken then you can continue the download without having to start again (please see software links section).
Video
All our videos are encoded what we would term "Higher Quality" with file sizes from (80-100 meg sizes per 3-5 minutes of video footage) i.e. much higher then you would normally associate with a downloadable or streaming video.
Once downloaded they will enable you to watch them "full-screen" on your computer or and on a good size TV set without too much or any noticeable pixilation.
Portable Devices
We have decided at present to make the videos download very high quality so you start off with a great download from there it will be possible for you to "downgrade" the footage for fitting on any smaller portable devices (with the appropriate software).
We think that quality is more important and we hope you agree.
Music - MP3
Music TV Station is predominantly a high quality video download station but we do have artists who will be using us to sell their audio products.
When this happens in the near future we will plan to offer
- High quality MP3's encoded at a bit rate of 320kbps, this format will be free from DRM, universally compatible and the highest possible quality for MP3 files
- Full supporting PDF artwork
- Exclusive demos, remixes and internet only remixes
